I imported the Eastern Sierra Land Trust’s (ESLT) online presence from a non-CMS PHP site into WordPress, using the Avada theme’s portfolio custom post type and categories to allow the client to provide extensive, customized detail — and organize — their projects. After the data transfer, I helped create a navigable information architecture for this non-profit which shares an extensive amount of information online. Since I imported their old blog posts in from wordpress.com, they have remained active in maintaining a vibrant up-to-date online presence. I synthesized the site design from elements of several designs the client had rejected, polished the existing logo into a vector, brought in their preferred font (Copperplate), contributed several other static homepage elements (namely the mountain silhouette and the sage grouse), and scrapped the Avada mobile menu to use a nice mmenu.js mobile navigation.
